Artifacts
Quick answer: artifacts are the "powerful artifacts left behind by an ancient civilization" that anchor the game's exploration — and the official way to find them is the Locator, a Tier 5 research that scans for them using Voidjuice. There is no coordinate list, and we explain why.
What Artifacts Are
The store framing is the canon: "Explore a vast and fully-destructible open world as you seek out powerful artifacts left behind by an ancient civilization." Artifact hunting is one of the game's strategic paths — "will you prioritize the hunt for artifacts, spending valuable resources to unlock access to their boons?"
They live deep: "Deep beneath the planet's surface lie countless mysteries for you to explore. Find clever ways to overcome the challenges left behind by an ancient civilization to uncover vaults of great knowledge and power." Expect puzzles between you and the prize.
The Official Finding Tool: Locator
The Research page provides exactly one artifact-finding unlock: "Unlocks the Locator. Fill it with Voidjuice to scan for hidden alien artifacts." It sits in Tier 5 and costs 3,000 Gold.
The Locator belongs to a family of late-game void research: the Void Rift (3,000 Gold, produces plantable Void Seeds refined into void elements) and the Recall Shard (4,000 Gold, teleport back to a Voidbloom-powered recall portal). Plan the tier together.
| Research | Tier / Cost | Official description |
|---|---|---|
| Locator | Tier 5 — 3,000 Gold | "Fill it with Voidjuice to scan for hidden alien artifacts." |
| Void Rift | Tier 5 — 3,000 Gold | Produces Void Seeds, plantable and refined into void elements |
| Recall Shard | Tier 5 — 4,000 Gold | Teleport back to a recall portal powered by Voidbloom |
Why We Don't Publish Coordinates
No official source provides artifact locations, and artifacts are explicitly "hidden" — the Locator exists precisely because scanning is the intended discovery loop. Whether positions are even fixed or placed per save is unknown (and the world itself is procedurally generated).
Any site listing exact artifact coordinates is guessing. What transfers between saves is the method: research the Locator, feed it Voidjuice, and scan.
What We Cannot Confirm Yet
- Artifact count, individual names, and their specific boons — no source enumerates them (unverified; needs in-game play or a future wiki capture).
- Locator mechanics beyond the research line — scan radius, Voidjuice consumption, UI (the Locator has no wiki article yet).
- How Voidjuice is produced (the Void Rift chain pages are not yet captured; the material appears as "Void Juice" in the materials catalog).
Budget the whole Tier 5 shelf
The Locator (3,000), Void Rift (3,000) and Recall Shard (4,000) work as a set: seeds for Voidjuice production, scanning to find vaults, and a portal home from deep expeditions. That is a 10,000-Gold expedition kit — your gold loop should be humming first.
